could have been better
Well, when we drove up we thought have lovely, garden fab, room looked very nice, clean. As the afternoon went on we found the room quite cold, could not put the heating up anymore.
We had decided to eat in the restaurant the first evening, more so as we had 50 towards our meal in with our booking, we went down at 7.45 order at 8.00pm got our soup at 8.50 and that was when we ask where was our soup, not happy, then my husband had fish and chips which was 19.00, when it came look good but had a job to find the fish inside the batter. Batter was not crispy. When we said we were not going to pay for this as it was awful. the waiter came back and said the chef agreed. the gym was very cold, its not good for anyone to train in a very cold gym. And to cap it all when we can to pay what we thought we should have we had to pay more, because we were told that as we were not charged for one of the mains, we didnt get the whole 50 off our bill, not that should have stood as it was not our fault the food as rubbish, and not we will not go back.

Hotel okay - Food not so good
The hotel was nice - the room we had in one of the annexes had a comfy bed, plus 2 arm chairs so that you had somewhere to sit and read. Unfortunately the draws for putting your clothes in was broken so could only use top one - reported so should be fixed now.
The restaurant was over priced if we hadn't had a deal we wouldn't have eaten there. The full cooked breakfast was poor I've never been rationed to one piece of bacon, sausage etc very poor!!! The drinks again were much to expensive but presumably that was what they were trying to promote as a posh hotel
