Disappointing
We booked the hotel to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Our room was rather tired looking, and certainly not as shown on the website. We had a large bathroom but noticed the bath had plastic spacers under one foot to keep it stable. We had to run the hot tap for 15 mins to get any hot water to the shower. We also had to wait over an hour in the restaurant for our main course. After being told the sweets are on us, these still appeared on our bill. We had to ask for juice at breakfast as non was offered. The bar staff were rather rude, no pleases or than yous. And when I asked for a Baileys I was told You ll be lucky we ve not got any . To be honest it was like being on a canteen at times with staff run off their feet and not at all what we d expected.
Poor service
Food was good, however, the service was so slow that we were not able to take full advantage of the offer that we had purchased as we could not wait long enough for pudding. 15 minutes for someone to bring us a menu...
Special occasion
We expected much more for a luxury stay . Room was fine restaurant very disappointing with very limited menu ok if you like burger or fish and chips but expected much more.Menu was same every night over our five night stay.Sorry but would not recommend.
