Room was cold only marginally improved after complaining multiple times.
Reasons for above score
Very slow check in due to only one member of staff on reception.
Service in restaurant very very slow, long waits for any service between courses at dinner and food not great.
Breakfast was a disaster having a long time to wait to place a breakfast order and again a long wait ensued, we enquired twice about our order with a staff response that they would check, but still over 45 minutes before it appeared. When the food did arrive it was cold, dry and inedible. By this time we had had enough and left.
The restaurant was not busy at any time we were there so difficult to comprehend the staff and kitchen delays.
We quietly voiced our disappointment at reception, The receptionist said she would look into the problem and they would get back to us, but they never did.
Dreadful Hotel
Requested a room with a view which was duly supplied a beautiful view the only downside was that the heating in the room was not functioning which when we complained were told they were waiting for a spare part . How does any decent hotel with a reputation to uphold put their customers in a room knowing it was faulty. We were then informed we could change rooms to a similar grade but no view. A key was then thrown at me so I could have a good look for myself. No one showed me the room I did not even know where it was so I had hunt it out. We moved ourselves there was no apology and certainly no one cared. The food was more than disappointing, the same uninspiring menu both nights and there were no vegetables or fruit anywhere to be seen. Stay there too long we will get scurvy.
