A fascinating historical hotel
I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wood Norton. As a family/social history enthusiast I would have loved to have seen more photos and information about the building. I have managed (with difficulty) to track quite a bit of information down which I think would be of interest to most guests.
Beautiful Hotel setting
The view from the hotel was beaus d I can imagine some wonderful weddings have taken place there. The customer service of all staff was excellent. The rooms were very spacious and clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The only thing that was slightly upsetting was the restaurant although the quality and take of food was excellent, the menu choice was the same on all three nights we stayed. We like our desserts but unfortunately there weren t any on the menu we could choose so we had to go without during all our stay. May a suggestion would be to change the starters one day then the mains the next and perhaps the desserts the next, this would give at least some variety with the menu.
Relaxing break in fascinating hotel
Lovely, relaxing four day break. The room was gorgeous with lots of space, original period plasterwork and panelling with crests, and a magnificent view across the Vale of Evesham. The building has a fascinating history and the wood panelling and carved ornament gives it a very traditional French atmosphere contrasted effectively with modern art. The food was excellent and staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The room heating was eccentric as we had to ring reception to get the temperature raised or lowered and it wasn t always easy to find staff but we enjoyed our stay. It would have been nice to walk from the hotel without going out in the car every time but obviously that is not possible where it is situated. The electric car charging points worked without a hitch.
