Enjoyable stay.
Disappointed, lacked attention to details
We expected much better from the stay - we had stated on our booking it was our honeymoon and were disappointed this had not been picked up on. On arrival the receptionist was not overly friendly and we were not shown to our room just given a general direction and not told how to get into the block of rooms as there was a lock on the entry door. No lift so we struggled up 2 flights of stairs with our luggage.
The food was ok but we were there for 3 nights and the menu didn't change and the vegetarian options were limited so we just had to repeat what we had each night. Our room was only serviced once not every day which I would expect in a Hotel of this calibre.
Looked promising, but disappointing
Could be a nice hotel, with lovely grounds and nice rooms. Lacked ambience, but this was probably due to the small number of people staying at the time we were there (mid winter). Breakfasts good but evening meal choice poor and one meal turned up stone cold. This was quickly replaced, but still not to be expected from this class of hotel.
