Wood Norton Review
We enjoyed our stay for 3 nights (6th - 9th September 2021) especially as the weather was wonderful.
The manor house is beautiful and we loved the terrace. The little sitting areas and bar area were very pleasant too.
We were very happy with the breakfasts (especially the almond croissants!) but were a little disappointed that the dinner menu didn't change, apart from some small details, for the three evenings.
We were in Pear Tree Mews so did not experience the manor house-type bedrooms, which I'm sure would have been lovely. We were impressed with the staff friendliness and competence throughout.
Comfortable hotel with an excellent restaurant
We booked one of the best rooms, which was beautiful, it was just a shame that the large bathroom didn t have a bath which I had requested. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. We just had a bit of an issue with the person serving in the bar, where we were kept waiting for a long time for drinks.
We had a quiet table in the restaurant and the meal was excellent. A good choice of menu and very good food.
There was plenty of parking in the car park but the bays are very tight if you have a large car!
Overall a good stay and we would go back again.
Very good Hotel
The hotel was lovely. The only thing that could be improved was that none of the windows in the bedroom would open, and we usually like to have some fresh air.
Apart from that, it was fine.
