Lovely hotel in a nice location.
We spent the night at The Wood Norton Hotel, as we have done before, on our wedding anniversary. This allows us to have a relaxing meal and staying overnight means we do not have to travel home. It is well located for visiting the Cotswolds and easy to get to.
The hotel has a nice atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The choice of food was not as wide as last time but still good. The car park is some way from the hotel along a tricky path which is a snag if it is raining. Likewise the main hotel and restaurant are some way from the Pear Tree mews where the room was located with no covered walkway. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.
A very comfy 3 night stay.
Four of us had two rooms. My two sisters were disappointed that there we no dressing gowns but this didn't bother my daughter and me. As I have a mobility problem I would have preferred a ground floor room or at least a lift to access our room.
We enjoyed our stay and were impressed with all the staff and especially the hotel cat Bear! He only put in an appearance on our last evening.
We had used an offer from The Daily Telegraph which we all agreed gave us very good value for money.
