The restaurant was a big let down. Very long delay between placing order for dinner and arrival of 1st course -they had clearly forgotten us. At 1st breakfast again very long delay in even bringing a cup of coffee. Very helpful and pleasant staff serving food but kitchen hopeless. Standard of food quite good once it arrived. On check out incorrect bill - they did not understand the conditions of the booking but they readily agreed to change to correct bill on querying it.
One of the best small hotels we have ever stayed in.
The Arden Hotel in Stratford upon Avon is perfectly located in this charming town. It has its' own car park and the town is only a short walk away. The RSC is just across the road. The hotel staff are extremely efficient and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable, ours had a massive double bed and bathroom and was quiet. The restaurant and bars are welcoming and the food is well presented and reasonably priced. The gift bag of goodies, apples, water and bons bons, to take with us on our onward journey is a master stroke - the icing on the cake that makes this hotel so special. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay - it is an place to excellent stay to go to the theatre and explore Stratford.

Location & Local Attractions
There are plenty of doggie trails around the River Avon right from the doorstep. The Greenway walk is a nice flat walk around Stratford on Avon which follows the old railway line and even has a dog-friendly cafe at Milcote picnic site which is a converted railway carriage where dogs get a warm welcome from the owner! You can also follow the Stratford town walk - with a guided walk an option. The grounds of Anne Hathaway's cottage are dog-friendly. Visit Baddesley Clinton and Oversley Woods - 230 acres of gorgeous woodland.
