Great location
We loved this hotel. We used it as a base for visiting National Trust places and were spoiled for choice. We chose to eat in the restaurant each evening as the food was so good. There was a great choice for breakfast. And the pillows were super comfy.
Break in Sheffield
Overall very pleased with our visit. Staff were wonderful. One negative question why is the room the furthest away from main building. As a disabled person you feel like a second class guest but who still pays the same as everyone else.
Had a super time
The staff were amazing. Kind, helpful, courteous, bent over backward to make our break enjoyable and it was. Abby was wonderful, along with the other girls on shift when we were there. The restaurant food was nice, tasty, but it didn t give me a wow factor in choice. Steaks were very thin and anaemic looking. They tasted ok, but they weren t what I d call restaurant quality steaks especially at 28/29 each. But, the location was lovely. I was disappointed that there was no disabled parking, but that didn t spoil the stay it just meant there was a lot of dropping off, unloading Athena door and then my husband having to park what felt like a mile away, especially when you have a bad hip. But we didn t let that spoil our break, we still thoroughly enjoyed it. Rooms were clean, but we never had a cleaner come into the room at all during our 5 day stay. However, we all agreed, we d stay here again. For us, it was the staff. They were great. Customer service fantastic. Thank you
