Last Minute Treat
Boringdon is a favourite of ours and we have been lucky this week to return
Welcomed on arrival with a friendly receptionist checking us in, our booking had complimentary
champagne on arrival, we weren t offered this but we were offered a fruit drink (which was nice)
Check in was quick, room allocated and our breakfast/dinner requests were confirmed.
Staff were friendly on every encounter (wanting to help with our bags, giving hotel directions and spa info)
Our room was spacious, clean, the bed was very comfy and we both slept well
Hair dryer was good, iron & ironing board useful
Fresh towels in the bathroom and plenty of space to store our belongings.
The room had facilities to make hot drinks which we love and also drinking water.
There is a mini bar in the room, it would be good to have the price list in the room. We had to ask at reception and check if the fresh milk was free.
Lots of charging sockets which was good for our phones and watches
The restaurant was lovely, nice large spacious table for us was set up beautifully. We had 2 courses included in our booking. Our meals were delicious. The staff were very friendly, service was quick. Staff were attentive to our needs and dealt with our requests.
We went for extra deserts. My partner enjoyed the cheese board - yum yum!
The spa is by far our favourite. The facilities are fantastic. We enjoyed an hour in the heated pool on our first evening just before our meal. It was busy with other guests but we didnt feel overwhelmed.
Breakfast was delicious. Helped ourself to continental options ( fruit, cereal & pasties)
We ordered full English breakfast, which was delicious
We did have to ask for our toast as it didn t come to the table. We noticed others had it on their table but we had a variety of preserves. The waiter apologised and all was sorted.
We packed up and checked out. Then made the most of our remaining 3 hours in the spa
It was empty when we entered at 10am
We went in the heated pool, the outside jacuzzi, swam in the large pool & used the extra sauna, steam treatment rooms.
We managed to get loungers when it started to get busy and we took advantage of the drinks service while we relaxed.
The shower area and changing room is very nice.
I had a lovely shower, used all the spa accessories (shampoo, conditioner and body wash)
Changing cubicles are clean and spacious
I then took full advantage of the vanity area. Dried and straightened my hair with the spa equipment.
We checked out feeling very relaxed and took a short walk of the grounds.
Fun activities were laid out on the lawn for guests to use
We LOVE Boringdon and WILL be back!!
