Overview

Located in the picturesque village of Chaddesley Corbett, dog-friendly Brockencote Hall is an award-winning hotel housed in a refurbished Victorian manor house.

Set in 70 acres of parkland, complete with a scenic lake it's the perfect place for you and your four-legged friends to enjoy a stroll around the grounds and the perfect base for exploring the stunning Worcestershire countryside. In 1880 Mr. Willis, a well-respected businessman and Mayor of the borough, purchased the Brockencote estate and rebuilt the Hall on the site of an ancient house. Despite alterations and additions, Brockencote Hall is still easily recognizable as a gracious Victorian home. The original building had turrets, but due to a fire in the 1940's they had to be removed.

The Butler family remodeled Brockencote to look more like a French chateau taken as inspiration from their travels across Europe. There has been a house on Brockencote's extensive parkland for over a thousand years, and the site boasts several mysteries. In fact, the surrounding area is probably the most intriguing archaeological site in the locality. Local historians believe that Chaddesley's missing manor house, abandoned in 1578 was located here on our estate along with a watermill which has also never been found.

Very disappointing stay.

Anon, stayed: October 2020

When we arrived we had to walk through the lounge area while many people were having afternoon tea. You could not sit in the bar or lounge area while this was going on.

The room was bland and made worse by Covid as everything had been removed so there were no local details about where to visit etc. The chair arms were worn, one of the windows would not stay open so had to be propped open with a bottle. It just seems tired and worn. There was no room service due to Covid but one might expect the tea bags and other things to be replenished but they were not.
The restaurant was equally disappointing. The menu was the same for both nights despite being told by you that this was not the case. There was piped music all the time throughout which was very irritating.
Overall this was a venue that was not for us. We would not return.

Brockencote Hall Hotel says...

Dear Guest,

I am saddened to hear that, despite our best efforts, you were so disappointed with your stay at Brockencote Hall.

We pride ourselves in delivering the highest standard of guest service, food and accommodation.

We were pleased to have received positive feedback from yourselves following your evening meal on the first night. I am surprised to read that you now feel that the meal was "disappointing".

As soon as we found out that there were issues with the radiator in the room, we promptly offered an electric radiator to make the room more comfortable. You opted to move to an alternate room. I am sorry to hear that the following two rooms were unacceptable also.

Regards,

Dan Brennan
Deputy General Manager

Not what we d hoped for

Anon, stayed: July 2023

We fed back to the team and was hoping for a call from the manager.
Staff didn t know what welcome drink was.
Check in slow and didn t have welcome letter.
Evening meal told food was served in a certain way and it was different. Feedback given and not listened to and no questions asking why.
Had to go to a supermarket to get a sandwich due to food.
Hotel did not reply to email welcoming and asking for preferences.
