Overview
Located in the picturesque village of Chaddesley Corbett, dog-friendly Brockencote Hall is an award-winning hotel housed in a refurbished Victorian manor house.
Set in 70 acres of parkland, complete with a scenic lake it's the perfect place for you and your four-legged friends to enjoy a stroll around the grounds and the perfect base for exploring the stunning Worcestershire countryside. In 1880 Mr. Willis, a well-respected businessman and Mayor of the borough, purchased the Brockencote estate and rebuilt the Hall on the site of an ancient house. Despite alterations and additions, Brockencote Hall is still easily recognizable as a gracious Victorian home. The original building had turrets, but due to a fire in the 1940's they had to be removed.
The Butler family remodeled Brockencote to look more like a French chateau taken as inspiration from their travels across Europe. There has been a house on Brockencote's extensive parkland for over a thousand years, and the site boasts several mysteries. In fact, the surrounding area is probably the most intriguing archaeological site in the locality. Local historians believe that Chaddesley's missing manor house, abandoned in 1578 was located here on our estate along with a watermill which has also never been found.

Ian's review
We came to Brockencote for a 3 day stay along with 2 friends.one of our friends has mobility issues so we were pleased to be offered a ground floor room for them..
We had booked all inclusive with dining packages.
Dining was excellent, the tasting menu was a particular success.
Staff were particularly good,we did not have one service experience which disappointed.
We were advised that because of covid our rooms could not be serviced during our stay,An entirely reasonable and acceptable decision. We were surprised to return on our third day to find the rooms serviced. The ladies were particularly concerned as they had left personal items about the rooms.
Checkout on our final morning proved the only slight disappointment, there were a significant number of service charges on our bills. There had been no indication when we booked that the package didn't include service. The charges were immediately and courteously removed ending our stay on a positive note.
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Some concerns
Overall an excellent stay but room service was difficult. We wereleft with dirty cups + glasses. House said that they were short staffed which we appreciated. The new cups were delivered but we had to ring again at 10.30 pm to request new glasses for the night. These were duly delivered but dirty crockery remained.
I suggested they leave a table in the corridor where guests could place their dirty frocks and take in fresh replacements.
Superb food but rooms are little tired
I feel a tad churlish writing this because the dinner we had was without doubt excellent and the staff was charming and helpful. However, I did feel that the room we had (superior) was a little tired around the edges. Just little things really: some stains on the carpet and the bathroom needed a little maintenance. Also, which I did find annoying was the fact that there was a temperature control on the water which could not be altered resulting in a bath and shower that were tepid at best.
