Wonderful wedding anniversary
It was a stay for our 20th wedding anniversary and we had a gorgeous 2night break in the accessible room.
We had a really lovely break and enjoyed the spectacular food the most.
The staff were second to none and the ramps they brought through were stable and fine for a large powered wheelchair.
The bedroom was very comfortable bright and airy.
The spa was manageable with my chair but could do with an accessible unisex changing room and accessible shower and hoist option. However, if able to walk a few steps the pool is doable.
It is a very long time since we had a break without children and. It felt very grown up and luxurious. Thoroughly recommend.
Possibly the best hotel I ve ever stayed in!
Danesfield House is a beautiful luxury hotel in a lovely location, with a very interesting history. We stayed in room 100 which was really spacious with a lovely raised area in the bay window with a table and chairs. It was a real treat to have food delivered from the bar menu to eat in the room. Everything about our stay was wonderful and the experience was greatly enhanced by the warmth and friendliness of the staff.
Anniversary treat
We booked a two night stay for our 58th wedding anniversary as we had enjoyed our stay a few months previous, again we booked the champagne bed dinner and breakfast in a deluxe room.
The room was lovely with a beautiful view and the bathroom was clean and tidy towels were in place but no bathrobes which we had had in the superior room the time before, but on asking they did bring one as requested. This time we were on the third floor which as the lift was out of action was a bit of a struggle for guests of a certain age. We had booked into the restaurant for both dinners and found the food to be as good as before, and the breakfasts well the choice and service is excellent and don t ever change your delicious sausages. We also used the spa this time and again the changing rooms were spotless the jacuzzi was delightfully warm but the pool was shall I say a little on the cool side. Over all everything about this hotel is great the staff are helpful and nothing is to much trouble, my one and only gripe is the fact that all the plugs are at skirting board level and to plug in your hairdryer etc you have to get down on the floor to plug anything in so maybe packing an extension cable would cure this problem. As for staying again I would without hesitation and will do as soon as possible, thank you everyone for looking after us so well
