Sadly over priced and disappointing

LL, stayed: October 2021

Our first room was was not good for various reason, mainly the bizarre choice to have a glass toilet door with the light being on a sensor and a timer, meaning if used in the night it lights up the entire room and you have to wait 5 minutes for it to turn off. After the shower, which is in the bedroom as it s all open plan, started dripping on the second night, we changed rooms to a better one in the main house for our last night.
The drinks are incredibly expensive and the wine menu is limited. The food was fine but dated and generally underwhelming.
The building and location are beautiful but inside it lacks atmosphere and warmth. The staff were nice and helpful but overall it was expensive and disappointing.

Birthday treat

ST, Surrey, stayed: August 2020

We went there on the hottest day of the year and the hotel has no air conditioning it was unbearable and we nearly slept in the car so we could get air conditioning
The food was good and staff helpful and friendly but the beautiful gardens needed attention and the hotel needs updating there was only one spare plug socket in bedroom and no usb connections.
Also the pool and spa were not opening till the following week and they gave us 20 credit each to spend they charged us 12.5 % on all our food and that took care of the 40
With investment this could be a great Hotel

Dissapointing stay at Danesfield house

PH, West Sussex, stayed: February 2024

We were very disappointed in our stay at Danesfield. Upon our arrival we were told that we had to have dinner at 6 and breakfast 8:15 am as all other slots were booked. After raising this as an issue the manager said that they would see if the restaurant could accommodate us at a later breakfast slot and promised to let is know but he never contacted us. The steam room was not working and the hot tub had cold water coming out of the jets. In addition there were no spare loungers so some guests were forced to leave their towels on the windowsill. The dinner which was included in the price charged us a 20 service fee. When querying this in departure we were told that this was discretionary even though it was automatically added onto our drinks bill.
