Two days of blissful relaxation in beautiful surroundings

My husband and I chose Danesfield House to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary and could not have chosen better. From checking in to checking out, our stay was relaxed and so very enjoyable.
We chose to have dinner in the Oak Room which was beautifully decorated in muted colours with mirrors and huge urns of creamy Paleonopsis. The dinner menu is not very lengthy but quite comprehensive and varied and the standard of cuisine and presentation was excellent. Breakfast in the Orangery was also very good and freshly cooked to order. Without exception all the young waiters and their managers were friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble for them.
As I have a hip problem, we requested a ground floor room which was perfect, a blissfully comfortable Queen bed and with double doors leading to a little private patio with a wicker table & chairs.
The piece de resistance was the beautiful swimming pool and spa area where we spent our afternoons.
We cannot recommend Danesfield highly enough and it certainly lived up to its star rating, which sadly is not always the case with UK hotels. Congratulations to all staff in particular Dom & John in the Oak Room and Orangery and Caitlin in reception.

Relaxing spa break for 6 friends.

We were all really impressed with Danesfield house. A beautiful building with lots of history and fabulous grounds.
We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff.
Our stay started off wonderfully with a cream tea included in our stay.
Our rooms were comfortable and well decorated.
The Spa area is amazing lots of beds to lie on, tranquil and quiet. The pool is big enough to have a decent swim, relaxing jacuzzi, steam room.and sauna. We all enjoyed some time in the tranquil room to.
The food was excellent and served by efficient and friendly staff.
The only dissapointing thing were the coffees we all had in the spa area after a walk. However this was deducted off our final bill at the end.
Have recommended Danesfield house and to diffently go through Offpeakluxury to other people.
Will visit again.

Luxurious honeymoon break

We absolutely loved staying at Danesfield House for our honeymoon. We cannot fault our stay here.

The staff are very welcoming, helpful and accommodating. The facilities were great, particularly our room which had plenty of space, a luxurious bed and a fantastic bathroom.

Food at breakfast was of a high standard and there was a good range available. The food in the restaurant was also incredibly tasty.

Again, a fantastic stay and we cannot wait to return.
