Our stay at Danesfield House
Delux rooms were good size and with good facilities, although the furniture and decorations are old, still comfortable. Restaurant service and high tea was very good. The locations and grounds are really good and relaxing
The perfect anniversary treat!
Everything about our stay at Danesfield House was perfect. The staff were all so friendly, helpful and most accommodating. The Spa was clean and everything in perfect working order. The meal was delicious and the room was comfortable, clean and perfect and we even had a beautiful balcony overlooking the gardens and the Thames. Marlow was just a short drive away where we enjoyed a walk along the river and across the suspension bridge, which was beautiful.
Beautiful location let down by poor restaurant management
We thoroughly enjoyed our four night break at Danesfield House.
The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
HOWEVER, a poorly managed and chaotic restaurant meant beautifully cooked food was spoiled. For example, the lack of a simple table numbering system on the terrace meant servers would go around the tables asking if the order they were holding was for them. That meant the food was often cold. Not great when you're paying 55 per head plus wine!
Our final breakfast (valued at 25 per head) comprised fried and poached eggs that had turned hard under the servery lamps after a long wait. Again, not great.
We came away having enjoyed our stay but the abiding memory will be of a poorly managed and expensive restaurant that did not meet our expectations.

FROM M4
Exit J7 at next roundabout and turn left onto A4 (Bath Road). First right at traffic lights to mini-roundabout, turn right. Straight across traffic lights. Proceed until mini-roundabout. Turn left, take first right into Grove Road. Burnham Beeches Hotel is 200 metres on the right-hand side.
FROM M40
Exit J2 on A355 Southbound to Slough. After Farnham Sommon, turn right at the second of a pair of mini roundabouts onto Farnham Lane towards Burnham. Turn right at next mini-roundabout onto Britwell Road. Turn right after 100mt into Grove Road. Burnham Beeches Hotel is 200 metres on the right-hand side.
