Romantic stay that didn t live up to expectation
The location and Dainsford House looked like the ideal place for a romantic stay.
We checked in on a Sunday afternoon and relaxed and got ready for dinner and drinks at 6.30pm.
Food was great and overall the service was good.
We then retired to our room, which initially looked ok.
However when we got into the bed we found that it was made up of two divan mattresses!!
This really put the damper on our romantic evening. It was so awkward and and uncomfortable tgat that rest of the evening was ruined.
Even sleeping on the two mattresses was reduced to trying to avoid the GAP!!!
I complained the next day about the situation and we were moved to a different room. A complimentary junior suite.
I should have been told prior to booking that the room had a bed made uo of two mattresses!!
Very disappointing as it set the tone fir what could have been a romantic break for the two of us.
Not 5 star
Lift out of action and had been for some time, WiFi had not been working for 89 days so had to log on to conference WiFi which did not work in all areas of hotel. Jacuzzi bath old and also didn't work. Whilst in the spa there were used towels on pool beds so instead of removing them they were put back on beds for reuse. The service at breakfast was excellent as was the food but not so at dinner. Won't return

Nice place menu and food lacking
Bueatiful place with friendly and attentive staff. Limited 55 dinner menu with no meat or fish dish available without an extra charge!

Regrettably, Danesfield House does not currently have Electric Vehicle charging points at the hotel. However there are EV charging points just 5 minutes away in Marlow town centre at Pound Lane Car Park.

FROM M4
Exit J7 at next roundabout and turn left onto A4 (Bath Road). First right at traffic lights to mini-roundabout, turn right. Straight across traffic lights. Proceed until mini-roundabout. Turn left, take first right into Grove Road. Burnham Beeches Hotel is 200 metres on the right-hand side.
FROM M40
Exit J2 on A355 Southbound to Slough. After Farnham Sommon, turn right at the second of a pair of mini roundabouts onto Farnham Lane towards Burnham. Turn right at next mini-roundabout onto Britwell Road. Turn right after 100mt into Grove Road. Burnham Beeches Hotel is 200 metres on the right-hand side.
