Mini break
Beautiful location, very relaxing and excellent food.
Enjoyable stay
One night break in November. All the Staff we encountered were excellent, particularly the lovely lady on reception. Really enjoyed the spa facilities and the evening meal was first class. Room was perhaps a little bijou and needed a dab of paint here and there but that did not detract from a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend.
Love well for a few days
We came for a few days luxury and being cared for which we achieved.
We asked for a room with accessible facilities but were disappointed with the room and facilities provided - no frame to help getting into and out of the bed - chairs were too low and uncomfortable -
No hand holds to aid getting around the room - wet room steamed up and was lacking any shelf space with two small shelves full of towels shampoos etc - I would say had been designed by a young fit person and had not been checked out by someone with mobility issues. The main restaurant(the Grill) was a long way from the reception area and again was a nightmare for someone with mobility issues. However the catering in this grill restaurant and service was excellent. The other restaurant near the reception was a disappointment in that it only served charcuterie dishes but it also was the breakfast restaurant and this food was a good Yorkshire breakfast served by attentive staff with the porridge with honey and whiskey a winner. But the tables were too small for the wide range of food served. The hotel staff tried hard to make our stay enjoyable by making improvements whilst we were there.
