The charming 'Old Wing' dates back to 1757, with the 'Wharfedale Wing' added in 1981 by the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire. A range of treatments is available, and the spa is decorated with artwork from the Chatsworth's Devonshire Collection, one of the finest private art collections in Europe. You have the option of pre-dinner drinks or desserts served in the dog lounge — an elegant sitting room with an open fire and canine-inspired décor and artwork. Alternatively, you can dine with your dog in the bar area of the Brasserie restaurant. If you prefer, you may leave your dog in the room, or they can be looked after by reception.
The Garden Room is a thoughtfully curated dining experience, inspired by the vibrant flavours of Europe and Yorkshire's local bounty, with the relaxed ambiance of a charcuterie and wine bar. There is a separate dog friendly area in the Garden Room so your dog can accompany you whilst you dine, tables are limited.

A very nice hotel and spa in a pretty location with lovely staff
Enjoyed our stay, found the restaurant rather expensive and a very different ambience, it just didn t seem to fit the style of the rest of the hotel
all the staff were friendly and helpful
breakfast was an excellent choice and a nice setting in the garden room
Ideally located hotel
Well positioned for exploring in the Yorkshire Dales and the free use of the Bolton Estate car parks was a bonus. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, the bedroom was a good size with a large bathroom and walk in shower which was very clean, the only downside in the room was the two chairs by the coffee table were rather small and uncomfortable. We were not aware the main restaurant would be closed during our stay but the brasserie was of a good standard with excellent staff.

On arrival very good attentive staff gave us a tour of hotel took our bags to our room we book a deluxe room which overlooks the river and heliport the room was spotless
And plenty of teas and coffee to choose from
We were booked in the brasserie as we went with our daughters and they looked at the menu of the restaurant and thought they would probably prefer the brassiere food was good and service good
We didn t book the spa before hand which is a must if you want a certain time they staff accommodated us for the Sunday the spa is one of the best I have ever visited and the staff there also very good
I would definitely stay here again but try the restaurant next time
