Snowy stay in the Devonshire Arms
Excellent stay-staff friendly and helpful.
Would definitely stay again.
Four poster bed a problem
Lovely hotel and rooms. I asked for a ground floor room with shower but was shown a first floor room. The main issue though was the height of the bed. Steps were provided for only one side of the bed which were left on my side as I suffer from arthritis. When my husband tried to get into bed later that night,he fell, banged his head on the bedside table and the very large lamp and shade fell off, landing on my husband s shoulder. As a result of this, the lights were fused and we were in total darkness. Not a very nice experience as my husband was still on the floor. We didn t sleep at all as my husband was in a lot of pain. We reported this to a member of your staff who was very helpful (I think she was called Jacky) We completed your accident form and left it with her. We would stay again but not in a four poster bed
A perfect weekend
What a wonderful way to celebrate a special anniversary. Such a relaxing place in a beautiful part of Derbyshire. Delicious food and lovely rooms, not to mention the friendly staff.
