Slightly Disappointed
Love the location of this hotel and was very excited to stay
The room was lovely and very clean
Bathroom a little dated but ok
The bar / restaurant really disappointed myself and my sister
We had a welcome drink included in our package which wasn t mentioned until the bill was being settled
There is an open fire just at the side of the bar - sadly not the side where diners are - just one table for 2 near it. We did sit here for our drinks before dinner which was nice
However we were offered a cocktail list before dinner
Unfortunately they didn t have a lot of the drink ingredients - poor.
It would have been better to remove the cocktail list if the bar wasn t stocked full after Christmas which was the excuse given
Restaurant area - No atmosphere very cold and we were placed at a table that felt like we were sitting in reception as that was what my sister was facing
I might suggest some different placements of dining tables to create a more intimate cosy vibe
We were also very cold whilst eating which is no fun
The dinner menu was uninspiring . When the food arrived 80% of it was cold
We were so fed up being cold after dinner we took a g and t up to our rooms and got into bed to drink them.
This was my treat for my sisters big birthday and I felt for the price I paid it was a let down

Lovely place to stay in glorious countryside
We had a lovely stay at the Devonshire Fell. Our room was comfortable with everything we needed. The staff were all very helpful. It s in a glorious location with endless scope for walking. Dogs are extremely welcome. The restaurant was pleasant with great views and the food good, although not as good as its sister pub The Devonshire Arms. This was to be expected as the Arms is a lot more expensive. We would go back for another visit.

Visit the picturesque village of Grassington, with its stunning scenery, history, great shops and tail waggingly good pubs. Further a-field market town of Skipton is a favourite destination among dog lovers. You and your four-legged friend will love wandering along the woodland nature trails at Bolton Abbey Estate. There are countless walks and adventures to be had in the Dales with your best furry friend in tow. After a long day exploring, we highly recommend The Narrow Boat Inn, which is a great pub serving good food, real ales and dogs are welcome inside out outside.
