Steer clear for the price - Real let down.
Room needed a freshen-up & clean, black scuffs on walls and general dust. Wifi didn't reach rooms. No mobile phone service at the hotel, which I think should be advertised. We have children so needed to be reachable at all times. There was a wedding going on which is ordinarily fine, however the celebration room is in the middle of the hotel so you have to walk past it when leaving your room. Noisy Wedding guests and children using the general bar which completely disrespects the idea of a romantic relaxing getaway. Booked and paid for champagne which was not in the room on arrival as should have been.

Unfortunately some hotels that are off the beaten track do have a limited phone signal.

The hotel was taken over by a loud wedding party in every area from the bar to hearing the. Close to the restaurant. The hotel needs to define what it wants to be as it is not big enough or organised enough to both and then done of them well. Won't be going back. The afternoon tea was very poor after waiting to be seated for over 10 minutes, not enough staff and the value was very poor.
Somewhat disappointing
Booked a prestige double room. This was a very small cramped room with only one armchair and no space to pass each other at the end of the bed. It was very hot and stuffy.
The restaurant, however, was the opposite, extremely chilly and really too cold to sit at the table and enjoy a meal. Luckily for us, with only two other diners in the restaurant we were able to have the ac turned off. The table d'hote menu again is disappointing, very limited choices, and many with additional supplements. (Steak add 12 pp). We had to send our steaks back as there were inedible, as the knife couldn't cut through the meat. The replacement was no better.
The hotel certainly has all the hype, but in practice is far off the mark.
