Keep up the good work.
An hotel to relaxing in. it is up a long drive away from the road, in peaceful countryside, with a lovely view down the valley. There is also a terrace to sit out and enjoy the view on a nice day.
The restaurant was very nice for evening meals, and breakfast had an excellent choice. It caters very well for people who have allergies, which makes a change to see.
Overall a nice hotel with helpful and polite staff, and one i won't hesitate to return to.

Nostalgic, snowy weekend (17th/18th March 2018)
The date was meaningful to us as a family. The venue nostalgic, having been brought up in the near-by town of Lampeter. However, the weather was unpredictable and had snow in the offing, which became significant to our prolonged stay at this country hotel.
We were greeted at the front desk by a very friendly, courteous and helpful receptionist who even took our cases up to our rooms! We discovered that the rooms were clean, tidy and cosy with everything needed for the night s stay provided and all to hand. The decor was in keeping with the rest of the building which in the past had been a manor house/mansion. It was like walking back in time!
When ready, we came downstairs for our afternoon tea which we had opted for rather than a welcoming bottle of Prosecco per room. What a spread and what a treat!
It started to snow heavily, but we weren't bothered as our duties had been seen to, prior to our arrival at the hotel. So, we settled down to a relaxing afternoon.
Later that evening we presented ourselves in the restaurant for a 3-course meal. Again, nothing but praise for the variety of courses on offer; the standard of food, the wine presented to us and the service carried out by friendly, attentive members of staff on duty.
All four of us had a pleasant, undisturbed night's sleep and were totally refreshed when we surfaced for breakfast the following morning. We all had the full Welsh cooked breakfast preceded and/or followed by various food items that we could help ourselves to from the large serving table in the middle of the room. Nothing but praise once again for the food and the service!
Our nostalgic visit to Lampeter and the Falcondale would have ended right there and then, had it not been snowing heavily again and driving conditions would have been hazardous. Jokingly, one of my sisters said to the young man at reception that we would consider staying another night, should he offer us a tempting snow deal! Within a few minutes, he was back with a flyer, a smile and a How about this?
Oh, my goodness! How could we resist such an offer? We jumped at it and thoroughly enjoyed another day of the repeat performance of fantastic service, delicious food and a good night s sleep for a second time!
Needless to say, we'll be visiting the Falcondale Country Hotel again in the future!
