About Compton Pool Compton Pool, in the heart of Torbay, dates back to the 12th century and was lovingly converted into a luxury retreat 15 years ago, now home to luxurious countryside cottages in South Devon. Set in 14 gorgeous acres with outstanding facilities in an excellent location, it is the perfect dog-friendly holiday destination, with so much on offer. During your stay, you can use the indoor heated swimming pool, tennis court, well-equipped gym, games room and children's play area. There are also landscaped gardens, fishing lakes, scenic walking trails and even farm animals including alpacas. What your Dog will Love about this Dog-Friendly Cottage The private terrace is ideal for your pup to relax and explore outside, plus within the resort, there are 1.5 acres of field for you to exercise your dog(s). On arrival, you will receive a Doggy box that has throws, a dog bed, towels, lead, poo bags, a toy, food and a water bowl. You will also have the use of The Mud Daddy to wash down your dog if they get dirty.
