If your looking for OK then this is perfect

Slightly underwhelming but it trys hard to be luxury. Executive room we booked was exactly the same as the picture on the website of the next room grade down but we were just told it was definitely an exec one. Way too much music being played that you would hear in an elevator creating a weird vibe. The pool is referred to as a pool but is a big hot tub not a swimming pool so don t stay here if you want to go for a swim. Nice dinner. Great breakfast. Overall OK. Just a shame about some false advertising on the website in regards to the room and pool should just be honest with what you get as the guests will find out in the end!

Lovely staff, nice hotel but a shame we didn t get the view we paid for.

Taplow House is a really nice hotel. The staff were very attentive and friendly, however we were disappointed that our upgraded room didn t include the views of the gardens that we d paid for. We d upgraded to an executive room and were given a room with a view of a roof. This was queried with reception and they advised not all executive rooms have views of the gardens, so be warned!
The food was very good, the bar was ok (atmosphere a bit flat) and the spa was nice but a shame that the jacuzzi buttons weren t working for bubbles!
The staff had a look for us but said it wasn t fixable.

Overall a nice stay. If we ever want to visit Windsor again we would consider staying here again.

A bit misleading

I felt that marketing this as a spa break was somewhat misleading, as the spa facilities were limited to a sauna and an outdoor hot tub - which, in winter, was quite chilly. It was clearly popular, as both the sauna and hot tub were busy, but it felt like this was a package that had been oversold to people to fill rooms in off-peak times. The food was lovely, though the service could be a bit haphazard at times. I don't think they had the capacity to serve everyone who was there e.g. only one bar man so quite a few people left waiting. Overall, while enjoyable in parts, the spa experience did not fully meet expectations.
