Post Christmas break
A nice one night break between Christmas and new year. On route to Reading. Easy location to find with good car parking. Garden looked nice but as winter unable to explore. We stayed in twin room, beds comfortable and heating good. Decor and carpets a bit tired and dated but generally clean. Water very warm,nice shower. Staff very helpful and accommodating,especially receptionist(sorry forgot her name) very friendly, arranged for us to have our complementary champagne with our meal as we arrived later than planned due to traffic and didnt have time to enjoy in room. Food and service in restaurant for evening mesl and breakfast very good. Overall a enjoyable stay.
A night away some us time
From arrival our impression of seeing the building and grounds to when we walked into the main entrance was all positive and we felt relaxed from the outset.
Checking in we were greeted by a real smile and a professional process which involved the lady taking us up to our room.
The room was splendid, well laid out and a bottle of champagne and individual chocolates were laid out for us.
We went to the bar which was cosy and friendly but not well stocked ordered a couple of drinks then went into the dining room and ordered the meal.
Food was well presented and tasted nice service was efficient and nice.
All in all a wonderful experience and will be going back

The Dining Room gave an air of private dining - excellent views over grounds. Choice and quality of food met/exceeded expectations.

How to get here
Leave at junction 7 of the M4 sign-posted Slough West & Maidenhead. Turn left onto A4 towards Maidenhead. Continue towards Maidenhead (ignore signs for Taplow) and at the third set of traffic lights turn right onto Berry Hill (BMW & Mini garages are located on either side of the road). Follow the road for 150 yards and Taplow House is on the right hand side.
