Dating back 300 years, The Granary Barn is a dreamy, dog-friendly cottage located in the Suffolk countryside. This home away from home features exposed oak beams throughout, as well as a beautiful, winding, handmade timber staircase that leads to a breathtaking bedroom with stunning views across the farmland. With an open-plan lounge, dining room, and gorgeous farmhouse-style galley kitchen, this is the perfect hideaway for two, plus your canine companion. Spend hours snuggling in front of the cosy log-burning fire with your four-legged friend or let your dog enjoy the enclosed garden. There is also a fully secured meadow for dogs to stretch their legs, with a smaller section for nervous or older dogs to exercise on their own. Lovely walks and cycling routes start straight from the cottage, and the pretty Suffolk Coast is just 30 minutes away, offering fun days out with your dog.Inside the Granary Barn
You'll find a fully equipped kitchen with ample space. The kitchen includes a fitted cooker with a ceramic hob, a Belfast sink, a microwave, a fridge, a kettle, and a toaster. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine with coffee capsules. The cozy living space features an old painted dining table, a comfortable sofa for cozy TV evenings, a lovely old armchair, and the piece de résistance: a lovely log-burning fire to keep your toes and paws warm in winter.

Full of character, The Granary has exposed oak beams throughout. The beautiful, winding, handmade timber staircase leads up to a characterful bedroom with a triangular oak feature window wall and incredible views across the farmland. The room features an iron bed, iron wall lights, and handmade chandeliers made by a local forge. There is also an en-suite shower room with a powerful fixed rose 'watering can' style shower, a toilet, and a hand basin with luxury hand soap.

Outside, there is a huge, fully enclosed private garden laid mainly to lawn, with a patio, a BBQ, and a table and chairs for al fresco dining. On the farm, there is a large, fully secured two-acre meadow for guests and their dogs to run around in. This is a shared area that may give your furry friends a chance to play with other four-legged guests. Alongside the meadow is an enclosed lawn or paddock for older, shy, or nervous dogs. There is also a lovely communal decked area overlooking the pond for when you want to feel sociable or simply enjoy the sunset.

There is plenty of off-road parking in front of The Granary. The Barn is located down a country lane, just a short walk from the village, with free bikes and Wi-Fi. The charming cottage is nestled on the edge of the village of Stonham Aspal, at the gateway to the Suffolk Tourist Route to Southwold, Thorpeness, Dunwich Heath, Walberswick, Aldeburgh, and Orford.
