Annivesary Weekend
We chose the Greenaway Hotel & Spa to celebrate a special anniversary and we were not disappointed, From the moment we arrived until our departure, we were made very welcome, with nothing too much trouble for the staff.
We shall certainly consider returning and would highly recommend this hotel.
Greenways Hotel
Hotel is in a very nice locaation with very extesnsive and well maintained grounds.
Evening restaurant food very good quality but after two nights the choicees on the limited menu had been exhausted.
Staff all lovely and bent over backwards to meet ones every need. Good swimming pool facility but had to book your time slot.
Birthday Treat
We stayed one night for a quick birthday getaway. We arrived early expecting to drop our bags but unexpectedly room was ready early. The room was beautiful and luxurious with a very comfortable bed ,if I am being picky a luggage rack would have been helpful as there was nowhere to unload luggage, except from the bed or floor.
We did plan on having lunch at the hotel but unfortunately most tables in the lounge were reserved ( for afternoon tea I would think) and there was a limited lunch menu, we took a drive into Cheltenham and had lunch there. On our return we had a drink from the bar and a wander around the gardens which are nice .
We then used the pool and sauna/ steam room in the spa, this was nicely set out and very clean and we had the pool to ourselves.Towels and robes provided at the spa reception.
Our evening meal was faultless and would highly recommend the restaurant, the staff were very good and friendly too.
Breakfast was good , we both went for the full English which was beautifully cooked and presented.
The only negative point was both times we went to the bar for a drink we had to go and find someone to request being served, this was despite two members of staff standing, talking in reception who saw us enter the bar, I would say this needs addressing , something as simple as a small bell on the bar to alert staff that guests are waiting to be served.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
