Lovely stay in beautiful Woburn
We have stayed in The Woburn several times over many years. It is situated very conveniently in the centre of Woburn.
We enjoyed our stay and the added benefit of a late checkout on the Sunday so a nice lazy breakfast.
Breakfast was advertised till 11am on Sundays and we arranged to go at 10.30.
We ordered our hot breakfast and were offered ta or coffee. Hot food came, we had to ask for extra coffee, not offered toast with our food. At 11am they cleared the buffet section immediately and when I asked for toast and was told it was to late. She did not offer to get me any and the self service had been cleared.
Ironically they had now gone into serving brunch where toast was being served with meals.
Its silly but the attitude toards a simple request rather marred the stay all for two slices of toast!
excellent stay
The staff at this hotel were exceptional - every single member of staff [and there were many] were helpful, cheerful and very keen to be of assistance. As we arrived, we were met by Victor, a member of the bar staff, who rushed to take our luggage and wait whilst we registered, carrying our cases to our room without us asking. How often does that happen these days?! Our superior room was large with a large bathroom and although a little dated and plain, was comfortable and clean. The outside area was lovely with a waiter/waitress available to take drink or food orders. Restaurant was very nicely decorated and the food good. We had a most enjoyable stay, made the more so by the superb, enthusiastic staff. A very enjoyable 3 nights.
One Night Break
We thoroughly enjoyed our single night stay at The Woburn. Dinner and breakfast both very enjoyable. The latter particularly so with a wide range of cooked options. We did feel the dinner and wine menu lacking in variety but this is very subjective. All the staff we met were extremely helpful and accommodating. We chose the suite option. Pleasant, comfortable and spacious room although mattress a little soft for our liking. Perfect location for visiting local attractions and pleasant walks. We chose Bletchley Park which is only a short drive away.
