Dine with Your Dog
Furry friends can dine with their owners in their choice of the bar, the snug area or the conservatory! The menu includes an evening dinner menu of traditional farmhouse food with a gastro twist cooked by World Champion Head Chef, Sandor Szucs, or there is a bar menu for lighter bites! The lovely team at Widbrook Grange are also happy to recommend lots of pet-friendly eateries in Bradford-on-Avon. Doggy Afternoon Tea is served daily from 12:00 to 17:00 in the conservatory or gardens. Spoil your four-legged friend with a tennis ball to take home, wet food, organic dog biscuits, and a puppichino. The experience costs £10.50 per pup, or £16.25 with a small bottle of Posh Pooch dog wine. Please note that Doggy Afternoon Tea must be booked in advance and is best enjoyed alongside human Afternoon Tea.

Pleasant
A good stay, it was all inclusive but the allowance for supper only, really, covered a main course! The setting was very countified, but the map of (dog) walks we were given was rather confusing! A good night, the staff were very positive except the man at reception when we got there, who was rather brusque.
Hotel left a lot to be desired.
The hotel location was reasonable. The gardens were interesting and the swimming pool facilities to a good standard.
The room was not very clean in the 3 days we were there the dog biscuit we found on the side of the wardrobe was still there on the morning we left. The bedroom curtains were missing hanging hooks and did not meet in the middle. There were a number of items in the room and bathroom that needed repair or in need of maintenance which are too many to detail. Most of it needed a deep clean of the bedroom and removal of cobwebs in the lower part by the side of the bed and settee.
The restaurant menu was repetitive with some of the food above average.
Some improvements needed
Room had a super king bed which was great. Clean. Hotel has nice decor. Food ok. Handy for visiting Bath.
Negatives: no hot water on Saturday night. We complained and the explanation was because the rooms either side of us had used up all the hot water. No Wifi in the separate block we were in from the main hotel building. No dog towels for muddy paws and bellies which we were not advised about this before our trip. No shower gel, just shampoo, conditioner and moisturizer supplied. One of the electric heaters in our room had the control switch incorrectly fitted by an electrician so we had to get the porter to switch it on for us. Apparently a fault that had not been corrected for sometime.

Walks along the Kennet and Avon Canal take you directly into Bradford on Avon. Along the way, you can stop for refreshments at the dog-friendly Lock Inn Cafe. The town itself has a fantastic new pet store, Doghouse, with a great cafe serving doggie ice cream, drinks and food! It is a charming historic town, rich in culture with plenty to do and lots of trails to discover. If you're looking for great dog-friendly pubs, The Dandy Lion and The George are well known for offering a warm welcome to four-legged visitors.
