Widbrook Grange

Comfortable hotel in a lovely location

We have stayed at the Widbrook several times, we keep going back because it s a comfortable relaxing place to stay. The restaurant is also very relaxed with a smallish but varied menu and we had no issues with the dishes we chose. The location is great for visiting Bath (tip, use the train), Laycock, Longleat and many other attractions, we particularly liked walking the canal footpaths.
We only had two slight negatives during our stay, the WiFi was not very stable and the TV reception was particularly poor. However, there is more to staying at the Widbrook than having good tech so don t let that put you off.

Widbrook Grange - Best in the West!

This is the second time this year we have stayed at this brilliant hotel.
The staff are fantastic, enthusiastic and so friendly, we had a wonderful room with walk in shower and a huge bed. The tea and coffee facilities were terrific. Our room was serviced on each day while we were out.
We visited the famous gin bar at the hotel for our complimentary arrival free prosecco or gin and tonic we were greeted by a most enthusiastic barman who recommended a super local gin and perfect accompanying light tonic, my wife s prosecco was from a new chilled bottle which she really enjoyed.
We had dinner that evening in the spacious hotel restaurant - the tables were really spaced out making for a totally relaxing evening meal. Our waiter was the same barman that served us in the gin bar, his knowledge of gins and wine was superb. Needless to say the service on our meals on both evenings was second to non - combined with the fantastic quality of the dishes on the menu cooked by what must be one of the best chefs in England - I have eaten in some of the best restaurants in Europe and worldwide - was perfect.
The breakfast was superb - our breakfast waitress was so professional and the service was terrific and of course delicious!
Widbrook Grange in our opinion suits us down to the ground - so refreshing to get such great value for money in a wonderful quiet location, with superb accommodation but in reach of the best attractions in south west England.
We will be booking our third visit this year very shortly!

Excellent stay DBB for two nights

The hotel was lovely. We were upgraded as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary.
The room was comfortable, white linen sheets, lovely fluffy towels. The restaurant had a good menu and the food was delicious for both nights. Breakfast was also varied.
The receptionist, bar & restaurant teams were all very welcoming and helpful.
The swimming pool was a bonus! Would highly recommend for a relaxing break.
