Furry friends can dine with their owners in their choice of the bar, the snug area or the conservatory! The menu includes an evening dinner menu of traditional farmhouse food with a gastro twist cooked by World Champion Head Chef, Sandor Szucs, or there is a bar menu for lighter bites! The lovely team at Widbrook Grange are also happy to recommend lots of pet-friendly eateries in Bradford-on-Avon. Doggy Afternoon Tea is served daily from 12:00 to 17:00 in the conservatory or gardens. Spoil your four-legged friend with a tennis ball to take home, wet food, organic dog biscuits, and a puppichino. The experience costs £10.50 per pup, or £16.25 with a small bottle of Posh Pooch dog wine. Please note that Doggy Afternoon Tea must be booked in advance and is best enjoyed alongside human Afternoon Tea.

Restaurant value
It was disappointing that our dinner allowance of 30 per person per night did not cover the cost of a choice of one main and one desert per person. Only by choosing a starter as 'main' and sharing a desert were we able to eat inside the allowance. The food was delicious however.
No review title
All very good except for the fact that I booked a twin room for myself and my friend Barbara Ewart and had confirmation for that by email. When we checked in we were told that our room was avdouble and there was no way to change as they were full. They said they had queried the booking with yourselves and been told that we wanted a double room despite having the email confirmation of a twin room. Why would it have been assumed that that we wanted a double not a twin when it was specifically requested to be a twin.

We are sorry to hear the hotel had not allocated a Twin for you. We can see you made the order online and the hotel confirmed the booking. This rarely occurs, but on this occasion, it must have been an oversight regarding the Twin.

Enjoyable break
A friendly small hotel, with quirky decor and so welcoming for four legged friends. if you are after a smaller, non chain hotel, this is a very good choice. Food was excellent, with a good choice, and helpful staff, particularly at breakfast, to help you with suggestions for exploring the local area. Great canal walks within 10 minutes of the hotel. The hotel does have a swimming pool and small gym, which we only discovered after 2 days, and was close to our room. It would have been helpful to have been told where this was when we checked in. A complimentary drink on arrival was mentioned, but this was not offered, which would have been welcomed after a long drive. This is a lovely hotel both in the Summer and Winter with open fires.

Walks along the Kennet and Avon Canal take you directly into Bradford on Avon. Along the way, you can stop for refreshments at the dog-friendly Lock Inn Cafe. The town itself has a fantastic new pet store, Doghouse, with a great cafe serving doggie ice cream, drinks and food! It is a charming historic town, rich in culture with plenty to do and lots of trails to discover. If you're looking for great dog-friendly pubs, The Dandy Lion and The George are well known for offering a warm welcome to four-legged visitors.
