Here are a few of our favourite pet-friendly choices:
Nestled on the bank of the River Eye, this charming 17th Century Inn is located in the heart of the village of Lower Slaughter and makes a fabulous base for you and your pet to explore the Cotswolds.
This is the perfect place to enjoy a pie and a pint by the fireside, or a salad on the terrace in the summer. The menu is seasonal and the food is simple, hearty and flavoursome with delicious items available all day.
The Slaughters Country Inn is open daily, serving great food morning, noon and night.
Located on Lord Montagu’s Beaulieu Estate in the New Forest in Bucker’s Hard Village, The Masters Builders is a gorgeous spot with beautiful views over the Beaulieu River. Lots of gorgeous countryside to explore and the hotel offers quirky but affordable luxury.
The Yachtsman’s Bar has a great menu, and is less expensive than the restaurant. At night, the restaurant menu is still excellent value for money, offering guests a delicious selection of courses in a warm and vibrant atmosphere. On Sundays they also offer a tasty two or three course Sunday lunch menu, with a traditional roast or a mouth-watering vegetarian option. We would definitely advise guests to book in advanced.
Our exclusive offers: Customers booking through PetsPyjamas can bring their pets along for free (a saving of £20 per pet per stay). A box of treats is provided for your four-legged friend, as well as 2 bowls and a comfy bed.
Escape the City to the Old Swan – a 16th Century country inn near Witney with great food in its gastro-pub inspired dining room and luxurious bedrooms – plus 65 acres of gorgeous meadows and woodlands for you and your pet to explore!
The restaurant prides itself on offering superb fresh local ingredients crafted into hearty dishes served with gusto and panache.
Celebrated for the outstanding and creative cooking of internationally renowned Head Chef, David Mwita, reservations are always recommended.
Dine outdoors through the summer months in the Old Swan picture-book gardens.
Just a mile from the beach, Plas Boedgroes is a gorgeous restaurant with rooms. Based in the beautiful Llywelyn Peninsula, Plas Boedgroes offers a lovely pet-friendly atmosphere, as well as an award winning restaurant – we recommend you sample either the Welsh Black beef or mountain and saltmarsh lamb.
Set in a gorgeous quiet enclave in Chelsea and a favourite of the Made in Chelsea crowd, The Phene has the most beautiful garden – ideal for pooches to play and a club house feel in the pub itself. Treat your dad to either a delicious Sunday lunch or try their signature Lobster and Chips, and don’t forget to sample their fabulous cocktails.
Food served 12 – 10pm Monday – Saturday / 12 – 9pm. Sunday Booking recommended. Main dishes from £12
Dogs are definitely welcome at the Builder’s Arms in Kensington with Sunday roasts a speciality. Delicious roast beef and fluffy Yorkshire puddings washed down with a spicy Bloody Mary make for the perfect Father’s Day lunch. Last time PetsPyjamas’ mascots Rufus and Heidi visited they were given a great welcome and Heidi very naughtily stole some biscuits on the side of a cappuccino!
Just 45 minutes from London The Olde Bell is a modern coaching inn in the pretty village of Hurley by the river. Offering great Sunday roasts and fabulous walks along a gorgeous stretch of the river, it is the ideally place to treat your dad – it is also one of Rufus and Heidi’s favourite spots!
