1. The Pier Hotel

The Pier Hotel is a luxury Boutique Hotel & Restaurant in Harwich, Essex and consists of 14 stunning bedrooms and two celebrated seafood restaurants.  All bedrooms are carefully furnished with many individual touches and all have private bathrooms, satellite TV, minibars, telephone and welcome tea/coffee tray. In addition, the family-friendly feel of the hotel continues into the bedrooms with several of them offering sofa beds for accompanying children.

There is a large beach situated 5 minutes from the Hotel, there are also some fantastic woods approx. 15 minutes drive away which are very popular for dog walkers. Dogs are welcome in the bar area of the Bistro, however not in the Harbourside fine dining restaurant or one side of the Bistro.

The Bath Arms is a rather special stylish and quirky country inn set in the quintessentially English village of Horningsham. The rooms are colourful and unusual  and all have distinctly individual looks. All the rooms have full en-suite facilities, a range of TV channels and DVD players.
The Bath Arms are pleased to welcome both children and dogs. Dog beds and bowls can be requested, and children will love the generously sized garden – they may even catch a glimpse of a lion prowling in the Longleat Safari Park! Children’s menus are offered, as well as cots, extra beds and adjoining rooms, making your stay as relaxing as possible.

Delightfully light, bright and airy in feel, the hotel offers stunning views from inside and out – especially from the Vista lounge, where the glass-fronted panorama will take your breath away. The coast, the sea, the sky, the glorious sunsets… each one is more spectacular than the last.

Their rooms are comfortable yet stylish, the locally sourced food is unpretentious and delicious, and their service is both efficient and genuinely welcoming. And if their extensive grounds, spa, swimming pools, tennis court and private beach aren’t enough, there are plenty of family-friendly activities close by, from surfing and horse riding to golf and coastal walks. The Polurrian Bay is, quite simply, the quintessential luxury seaside hotel.

4. Woolley Grange

A beautiful Jacobean manor house with 14 acres of grounds, Woolley Grange is located just outside Bradford on Avon in Wiltshire, not far from Bath and Longleat. There is an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a luxurious spa, play areas galore and even real-life chickens! All 25 bedrooms are quirky and individual, and the food is fabulous: simple and flavoursome, using the best ingredients, many of them grown in their very own kitchen garden.

While the kids are exploring the grass maze and collecting eggs from the ducks and chickens in Roald Dahl’s ‘Chicken House No 1’, why not take advantage of the hotel’s luxurious spa, which offers heavenly massages and pampering treatments. Dog beds and bowls are provided and your four-legged friend can run around freely in the hotel’s extensive grounds. After a hard day’s dog walking, kick off your Wellingtons and put your feet up in the sumptuous lounge with an afternoon tea in front of a roaring open log fire.

5. Hotel Endsleigh

On high ground overlooking the River Tamar and beyond into Cornwall, Hotel Endsleigh, owned by the very stylish Olga Polizzi, is set in 108 acres of gardens, woodlands, follies and grottos making it incredibly pet-friendly. Fabulous walks for Fido are not only available  at the hotel but also on Dartmoor which is close by.
