Ideal for a few days away. Very friendly & helpful staff. Food was excellent - room was ideal for access as we were in the courtyard. Easy access from A1. Also easy to get to so many local attractions such as Durham - take the Park & Ride. We had only one concern - they were late in turning on the heating in the evening but that was resolved. Overall excellent!

The courtyard bedroom No.38 was lovely and a bottle of prosecco and chocolates in room - very much appreciated First nght meal which was a Monday was great with quick service - second night [same menu - would like to have had a different menu] was extremely slow it took over 2.5 hours for two courses although the waiting staff were great Breakfast were excellent Drinks expensive
