A birthday treat
It was my wife s 80th birthday and staying at Lumley Castle was extra special.
All the staff were very personable and obliging.
The food was really good with a great well balanced menu served in an atmospheric setting.
Breakfast was a real quality selection.
A most enjoyable stay.
Disappointed that they were unable to provide the two (80) ballloons requested one week earlier,
and the Happy Birthday dessert was given on the wrong night.
What a find!
Could not fault our stay. Lovely room with all you need in an elegant period building. Food and service in the restaurant over two nights was excellent.
Superb short stay
A superb setting with spacious rooms.The reception staff gave us some advice as to the best areas to visit on the coast too.
To be fair the weather helped . It was warm & not windy for the time of the year. We chose to go to the coast on our full day & even the north sea was blue !!
