Three night stay in Castle state room.
The hotel staff were attentive and helpful in all areas of the hotel. Our room '' Sir Ralph's Room'' was in keeping with the hotel's general ambiance. However some aspects of the room were a little tired. The room's hot drinks equipment and snacks were second to none. The hotels layout left much to be desired in our area of the castle in that the route from our room to the bar and on to the dinning room was long and tortuous, Also requiring to go outside the hotel twice, not good for anyone with walking difficulties. A lift into the central castle area would be helpful. The food in the Black knight restaurant in the evening was over priced for the quality of ingredients used. The breakfasts were excellent and good value .
