Lovely romantic break.
I thought the hotel was beautiful. My problem was the room was very hot but I couldn't open the window. We were in a ground floor room in the courtyard so maybe that's why the window doesn't open.
The food in the restaurant was nice but didn't live up to the luxury name, and could've been hotter.
Character hotel and a little quirky
We very much enjoyed our stay at Lumley Castle we were not sure what to expect - the circular stair case to our room was a bit of a challenge at our age late 70s however was all part of the ambiance of the stay The room was of very good size and warm as was the bathroom
