Definitely would stay again wish the library had higher tables to eat at but a beautiful place to relax. Beamish so near to visit .
Disappointed
Did not come up to our expectations, particularly the room - cramped, poor lighting, winter duvet even in summer! Restaurant was satisfactory although some portions were on the small side. No chocolates were available as hotel still awaiting delivery
It s certainly a castle
From the minute you arrive you are aware you are in a castle! Having said that, castles can be cold and damp but certainly we did not experience this. The rooms were warm as were the staff throughout. We never quite got the hang of finding our way around and that added to the fun of our stay. It certainly was a memorable experience and thoroughly enjoyable.
