Weekend treat
The hotel is in a beautiful village and only a short drive to the coast. Overall we had a lovely stay. My only criticism is the breakfast could have been of higher quality. The cooked bacon was strips of greasy streaky bacon and the scrambled eggs were soggy . Would also have liked a better choice of bread for toast.
However overall would recommend this hotel and enjoyed a peaceful stay.

By train
The closest station is Polegate, about 5 miles from the hotel (10 minutes by taxi). Trains run twice an hour from London Victoria Station and take 1.15 hours to Polegate.
There is a taxi rank at the station. It is a good idea to book your taxi in advance.
