Pleasant stay with good food
We stayed for one night on a Sunday. We stayed in a room in the Pear Tree Mews which was large and clean with a comfortable bed. Dinner in the Brasserie was good and the waiting staff were pleasant and helpful but not over-attentive. There was a wedding on when we were there but as the reception was in a different part of the hotel it didn't bother or disturb us at all. Nice breakfast. We found the young staff to be very helpful and competent and the drinks not as expensive as previous reviews led us to believe.
A birthday treat
Really enjoyed my two nights stay. The food was well cooked and large portions. The staff were very helpful. The grounds are lovely as is the views from the hotel. Would love to stay again.
40th Weekend
Beautiful building and setting. You have to jump in the car to do anything but when in the Cotswolds and situated here you aren't far from somewhere stunning to enjoy a lunch. We visited Boughton on Water, Broadway and Moreton.
The food at the hotel was very good, dinner and breakfast. We were however overcharged on the second night with a mix up of discounts and payment from the first night. With a big group I guess these these things happen so wasnt too concerned but it was to the tune of about 350. Some staff were excellent but we did have a few that were less so. Overall a great weekend. The suite my wife and I had was amazing and with discounts at dinner the price was very good I felt.
