Nestled in the heart of the enchanting New Forest and set within an eight-hundred-year-old estate, dog-friendly Burley Manor is surrounded by rolling countryside and Burley Park – a red deer sanctuary. It’s also just a few minutes’ walk from the picture-perfect village of Burley. This idyllic location offers a picturesque setting for dog lovers as well as their furry friends, with the lush sprawling landscapes of the forest perfect for adventurous walks with your canine companion by your side, and the quaint villages of Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst to explore.

Perfect for a dog-friendly holiday, the old Manor House combines charm with a contemporary eclectic twist. Built in 1852 by Colonel William Clement Drake Esdaile, it’s an architecturally stunning baronial-style manor house thoughtfully restored. Each of the beautifully appointed boutique-style bedrooms is spacious, some with balconies and direct access onto the gorgeous gardens with the Deer Park beyond. The blend of rich fabrics and warm colours in the rooms creates a welcoming atmosphere for you and your pet.

The on-site restaurant offers Mediterranean influences and features seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients. The bar offers a cosy spot to relax with a drink in hand, overlooking the manor’s verdant gardens. And after a busy day of dog walks, the spa at Burley Manor provides a tranquil escape with an array of tailored therapies and treatments - whether it’s a massage to ease your muscles after a long hike in the forest or a peaceful moment in the spa - as well as an outdoor pool.

The hotel offers special features to make sure your pet feels as welcome as you do. Set in the heart of the New Forest, there are many walks you can enjoy straight from the hotel, and there’s a handy pup station situated near reception where you can find dog towels, water bowls, and bags should you need them. Deer View Hut

Nestled in the grounds in front of our neighbouring deer park our hut offers a truly unique experience. The hut features a double bed with a stargazing roof, a roll top bath with temple spa goodies, walk in shower, and separate seating area with a log burner. At the rear of the hut, you’ll find your own private garden with a fire pit and mood lighting. You will be welcomed with a hamper of locally made treats and a continental breakfast hamper to enjoy the following morning, or you can join us in the Manor, just a few steps away.

These colourful and stylish rooms retain a number of original features and are slightly larger than your ordinary standard room. Bathrooms stocked with luxurious toiletries are equally stylish, each with its own individual wall panelling and distinct colour. Our Garden Suites are in the garden wing of the Manor all located on ground floor. They have a super king bed with en-suite accessible walk-in shower with support rails. These suites have cosy lounge space and their own private balcony leading onto the garden and deer park. We have parking spaces at the rear of these suites for added convenience. If you are looking to bring the kids, there is plenty of space for two foldaway beds.

Dine with Your Dog

You can dine with your dog in the bar area or on the terrace during the summer months. The hotel’s creative chefs craft a balanced selection of imaginative menus, championing local fare to showcase seasonal ingredients and top-quality suppliers. They offer a choice of classic and modern-inspired dishes, ranging from Great British to Mediterranean and beyond. The Sunday lunch sharing boards come especially recommended. Additionally, there’s a doggie menu available for your pup, which includes treats, special drinks, and main courses.
