Embercombe

Embercombe has wonderful views over Exmoor and the coastline. The charming dog-friendly room can interconnect via a soundproofed door to Danesbrook and this is double locked. The private bathroom, just two or three steps across the corridor is well equipped with a roll top clawfoot bath and shower over. This bed (with sumptuous pillow topped mattress) can be set as a Twin or a Superking upon request .

Bossington Hall was built in the singularly unique location benefitting from not only southerly aspect, but also, curiously, a view of the Porlock Bay, on the North coast, yet also the view across to Dunkery Beacon, the highest point in Somerset due South from the estate. Set in one of England's most beautiful locations and surrounded by rural beauty and rugged coastline, just a stones throw from Porlock village. Bossington Hall with its awe-inspiring views is a truly breathtaking country residence with plenty of usable space for all our guests. With its Arts and Crafts interiors, Bossington Hall is comfortably and practically furnished with sumptuous beds and period furniture. The current owners have taken time to integrate impressive and intuitive design features throughout the property, ensuring all guests, human as well as four legged friends, have everything they need to truly relax and enjoy the Bossington Hall experience. It is ideal for owners and dogs who love rambling and hiking throughout Exmoor, or enjoy mountain biking or Kayaking in the bay.

Within Bossington Hall there are nine spacious and well appointed bedrooms, with nine bathrooms. Danesbrook and Embercombe are located on the Western wing, with views across the vale and garden. Their private bathrooms are located next door. Greenaleigh is on the Eastern Wing and has a private lounge with bathroom across the corridor. Heddon enjoys the dual aspect end of the Eastern Wing and is one of our few En-Suite rooms. Ivystone is on the North Wing, with views of the garden and Dunkery beacon, with bathroom across the corridor and a roll top bath with shower over. Jennifrieds is another en-suite in the North Wing, with secluded woodland and courtyard view. Kinsford is rather special, with a copper roll top bath in the bedroom (separate private shower room across the corridor) with breathtaking views from the tub, set in a Box Bay window, of the garden and Dunkery Beacon. Longpool has secluded views of woodland and courtyard in the North wing, with en-suite shower. Martenhoe is another suite, with private access, views of Dunkery Beacon from the Box Bay window and a splendid huge bathroom with roll top bath The views overlook the Porlock Bay where oysters are farmed, and Samphire grows wild in the salt marshes.

In the grounds are a Squash Court, Tennis Court, Badminton and a small football pitch, all are free to use for guests (booking required). On wet days or evenings, you can book the ten foot screen Silent Cinema (headphones) providing hours of entertainment.
