Ok as a base
The staff were very friendly, and welcoming. The food was good; both breakfast, and the evening selection. The room was a little disappointing; it was not as clean as it could have been, with a few cobwebs in obvious places, and the bathroom was quite dusty, and one of the lights didn't work. In addition the plumbing was extremely noisy when other rooms adjacent were running hot water.
On the plus side the bed was very comfortable, and the bedding very clean. The room was very spacious.

Location & Local Attractions
The hotel is only 10 minutes from Westonbirt's Arboretum, with 15,000 specimens of trees and the tree top walk way offering spectacular views across the Arboretum landscape. As well as that, there are the 130-plus lakes of the Cotswold Water Park and the market town of Malmesbury with its circular river and bridge walk. A must-visit is the Cotswold Wildlife park where you can introduce your pet to the meerkats and other animals.
