drinks
Price of a bottle of wine a bit over the top. I purchased a bottle of wine for 29.95 only to discover it retailed for 9.95. I can't see how they can justify charging three times the price for a mediocre wine.. I know they have to make a profit but?
Swimmers retreat
We used Rothay Manor as our base whilst doing an endurance swim in Lake Windermere.
Not only did we have a warm welcome, but so did our dog, with his own welcome pack and letter from the resident spaniel!
The food was fantastic and the staff friendly and approachable. We wouldn't hesitate in booking again.
A brilliant break
Our superior room was extremely comfortable, including a super kingsize bed, plus two armchairs, and had a real country house feel to it. The restaurant's d cor was more contemporary and the food, very gourmet, was delicious. The bar has a superb range of gins.
