Lovely Break
My partner and I enjoyed our 2-night deal at The Swan at Lavenham very much. It couldn't be a better location for someone with an interest in Tudor times, such as my partner.The hotel itself is one of the best-preserved buildings, quirky and fun to explore.
The staff, though very busy, were friendly and helpful.We enjoyed our meals in the Gallery restaurant, there was plenty of choice.
An unexpected bonus was to find the complimentary champagne in our room was Moet and Chandon! Luxury indeed.
Great hotel
What a welcoming and lovely place with some fantastic heritage buildings on the doorstep. One of our favourite hotels anywhere.
Great but needs a brush up!
A good stay but lots of areas need a bit of TLC. Some of the furniture is looking very tired and worn. Some of the walkways were used as storage areas for unused chairs.
Reception staff are very welcoming and extremely professional. The restaurant manager is also very professional and seems to be proud of his restaurant. All the younger members of the waiting staff were excellent, however, some of the more mature members were rather curt and standoffish.
The food was delicious and the drinks were well made up and served.
None of this would put us off of a return visit but it was a shame that the 'luxury' element is a little missing.
