Amazing hotel and staff
We stayed 2 nights in June and brought our dog with us. Best hotel I have stayed in and staff were very welcoming. As we had dog with us, we couldn t eat in their beautiful restaurant so we ate in the bar. Still excellent service and the food was first class. Excellent breakfast too. Wouldn t hesitate to recommend the Swan at Lavenham. Lovely historic place with medieval houses so lots to see.
Staying at the Swan Hotel in Lavenham
I had always wanted to stay at The Swan so we eagerly booked the off-peak luxury weekend. The hotel didn't disappoint, being steeped in historical detail, very clean and well organised with helpful friendly staff. The restaurant was beautiful and the tables were well placed apart. The food was slightly less than my expectations. The welcoming champagne was delicious and of a good quality and there was fresh water in the room each day.
The village is a joy to visit and we explored the local area over to the coast and back.
Perfect break
Delighted to have ticked The Swan off the Bucket List, it has been on that list for several years - this was the year for a lovely surprise! Old-fashioned courtesy from staff who genuinely went out of their way to inform, chat and generally make our stay very pleasant.
Food was very good, breakfast was well presented, dinner had a decent choice of dishes, I don t know how often the menu changes but for a two night stay the selection was good.
