Wedding anniversary
The property did not meet my expectations. Considering it was our Ruby wedding anniversary, we were not offered any form of upgrade.
On arrival the place was dull of day trippers who took over, and residents were displaced.
Our room was ordinary and not in keeping with the rest of the hotel.
Restaurant service was exceptionally slow and on our second evening they ran out of a lot of items on the menu.
Relaxing and enjoyable stay
We have been to the Swan on a number of occasions and this offpeakluxury stay using a voucher represented a good value experience. The staff were excellent both in reception and in the restaurant. We had a standard but very pleasant room overlooking the rear garden where we took our cream tea which was delicious. The restaurant evening meal was very good , having once had a very poor experience there on a previous occasion, this was a relief and breakfast was very good. We added an extra b and b night which made for a great relaxing break. Happy to recommend .
