The Swan Hotel proved to be an excellent choice for an off peak short stay .
The whole package was very enjoyable with local places of interest & with car journey time of approximately 2 hours (1 way ) was not tedious.
It s my secret
When was the last time you had a beautifully dressed table with pristine white tablecloth and napkin's?
It hardly happens nowadays but it s there plus so much more, attentive staff, good food and immaculate rooms. A location to explore, discover and later retreat to a happy place but shush it s my secret - Swan Lavenham
Change of Room.
On arrival we were given room 11 on the ground floor which was rather tatty, torn curtains, lumpy beds, worn out furniture, we would not stay in it & reception moved us to room 16 on the 1st floor which was ok. Room 11 should not be used until it is completely refurbished.
We enjoyed the Champagne & the cream tea, the dining was excellent in the Gallery restaurant & the staff we encountered were always pleasant.
We have stayed in this hotel many times over the years.
