This is our second visit to the hotel. We find the facilities and staff extremely dog friendly which we love. Breakfast is always excellent with good choices and service in the lounge area. This visit we had a cream tea which was also a lovely experience.
Silver wedding stay
The hotel is beautiful, and Lavenham is a stunning medieval town. The Gallery restaurant again is really beautiful. The staff were excellent, friendly and professional. Our room was comfortable, but unfortunately a continuous loud noise from either the boiler or air con was a bit annoying. If we were staying longer then we would have changed rooms. It didn t ruin our stay, but if anyone is thinking of booking, don t stay in room 6.
The only disappointment was the menu in the gallery restaurant which was part of the booking made with yourselves. It was uninspiring and quite bland. Well presented and cooked but we struggled to find something we wanted to order. This is obviously only our opinion, but there was no meat only the menu only game. The cream tea that was included, which we had on arrival at the hotel was delicious.
We would visit there again if the menu was more to our taste.
Pleasant Hotel
A pleasant historic hotel in Lavenham. Very nice rooms . Peculiar menu in the restaurant . And the food didn t live up to expectations . Breakfast was better and the waiting staff very good.
Spa is small but lovely. Treatments are very expensive though .
I wouldn t stay again because the food wasn t great but I would recommend staying in the hotel for bed and breakfast .
